Why I Write This...

Having blogged for about two years now, I write this more as a way of putting a few randowm thoughts to paper, than anything else. When I see a world where the old and familiar is fading away, to be replaced by a brave new world that has merely strange people in it, a world of the rude and frustrating.

Here in Wales the change is more obvious than in England. In 1908, Wales was a land of chapels and song, at least in the public imagination. Today, it is a land of drunkenness and apathy. And it does no-one any good, alcohol costs the public purse, as do other manifestations of what is euphemistically called 'anti-social behaviour'.

At heart, that is why I am a Conservative. I am a Christian because I have passed from death to life, being born again from above by the action of the Holy Spirit. A person's political views are determined by their upbringing, while a person's spiritual state is determined by God.
